To honour one of the greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders, National Youth Day is celebrated across the country on January 12 every year on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Vivekananda’s writings and teachings had an impact on many of India’s nationalist leaders, that led the Nation towards her independence from the British rule. The philosophy of the saint was a source of inspiration to many young Indian revolutionaries who participated in the freedom struggle.
Some quotes by the great leader that inspire us even today
"Take risks in your life, If you win, you can lead! If you lose, you can guide!"
"Experience is the only teacher we have. We may talk and reason all our lives, but we shall not understand a word of truth."
"Meditation can turn fools into sages but unfortunately, fools never meditate."
"You should work like a master and not as a slave; work incessantly, but do not do a slave’s work."
