In a step towards boosting tourism in the country, Thailand has decided to eliminate visa requirements for tourists from India and Taiwan from November 10, 2023 until May 2024. The news was shared by a government official on Tuesday, October 31. Tourists coming from India and Taiwan can enter Thailand visa free for 30 days.
India has ranked as Thailand's fourth most significant tourism source market this year, with approximately 1.2 million arrivals, after Malaysia, China, and South Korea.
This year, Thailand aims to achieve approximately 28 million tourist arrivals, as the new government looks to bolster the tourism sector to help counteract ongoing challenges in exports, which have been limiting economic growth.
