The death toll in the building collapse in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi climbed up to 20 on Tuesday. Police said that the dead included eight children while 20 others, including a four-year-old boy, were rescued from the debris. The 43-year-old building had caved in in the wee hours of Monday. The three-storey building had 40 flats and around 150 persons lived there, officials said. Two civic officials have been suspended in connection with the collapse and an offence has been registered against the building owner.
