The prolific New Zealand opener Martin Guptill has overtaken Virat Kohli's record to become the highest run-scorer in Men's T20Is on Friday. Though his side had another tough night, Guptill's 31 off 15 against India in the 2nd T20 helped him achieve the feat.

The Kiwi batter has now scored a total of 3,248 runs in the shortest format of the game, following him are ex-Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma with 3,227 and 3,086 runs respectively.
New Zealand faced another defeat in the 3 match T20 series against India as the latter secured an unassailable 2-0 lead at home.
