Martyred pilot's wife is now an Air Force officer

Garima Abrol, wife of Squadron leader Samir Abrol who was martyred in the Mirage 2000 fighter plane crash last year, is now an Indian Air Force officer. Abrol completed her training from Air Force Academy on Saturday, according to Defence PRO, Shillong. She decided to join the Indian Air Force as a tribute to her martyred husband. Five months after her husband’s death, in July 2019 she cracked the Service Selection Board interview and joined the academy at Dundigal.
