In a recent interview, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz Sharif alleged that authorities had installed cameras in her jail cell and bathroom. Maryam Nawaz Sharif spoke about the alleged inconveniences she had to face in jail after being arrested in money laundering case in 2019, Pakistan media reported. Criticising Prime Minister Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Maryam said if she discloses the treatment meted out to her in jail the government will lose face. In her criticism she also added that if authorities can break into a room to arrest her in front of her father Nawaz Sharif and launch personal attacks on her, then no woman is safe in Pakistan.
