Kili Paul loves Bollywood and he says he grew up watching a lot of Hindi films, His favourite heroes are Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Hrithik Roshan.
Life for Tanzanian siblings Kili Paul and Neema changed overnight after a video of them lip-synching to Raatan Lambiyan from Shershaah went viral on Instagram.
Their video garnered over one million views (and still counting) in just days. The video was reposted by Shershaah stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, as well as singer Jubin Nautiyal (who sang the original) and composer Tanishk Bagchi.
Dressed in traditional Maasai clothing, the tribe that they belong to, Kili and Neema are immensely grateful to social media. They say, it’s what’s made them the stars that they are today, helping them see their big dream come true – that of being famous.
In an interview, Kili gave us a peak into his life as a Masai and his dreams of meeting Bollywood stars. Kili says he has never been to India, but he hopes he will come to the country, to meet the people who sent him so much love.
With over 1.5 million followers on TikTok, the 26-year-old stays in the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam, the financial capital of Tanzania, and is a farmer by profession.
