Microsoft, McAfee, 17 other firms form Ransomware Task Force

19 firms and organisations including Microsoft and McAfee have come together to form the Ransomware Task Force. The collaboration hopes to create a standardized framework for responding to ransomware attacks. Further details on the membership and management for the joint effort will reportedly be announced in January, along with a website.
