Microsoft: Russia, N Korean hackers attacked Covid-19 vaccine makers

Microsoft has said in a blog post that cyberattacks that originated in North Korea and Russia have been targeting companies conducting research for Covid-19 vaccines and treatments. 

The targets include leading pharmaceutical companies and vaccine researchers in Canada, France, India, South Korea and the United States. 

The hackers used various methods to carry out the attacks, according to the blog post, including brute force login attempts to steal login credentials, as well as spear-phishing attacks, and as representatives of the World Health Organisation.
