The CAG has said that French jet maker Dassault, which is supplying Rafale fighter jets to India, has not yet confirmed technology transfer to DRDO which was part of the contract, the Hindustan Times has reported. The Comptroller and Auditor General, in a detailed report tabled in Parliament, has doubted if the transfer of technology for a key engine would even take place. It has also pointed out that several offset contracts built into multiple defence deals have “not yielded the desired results”. The first batch of five Rafale jets were inducted into the IAF two weeks ago.
