Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday had a 'foody' retort to TMC's Derek O'Brien's 'papri chaat' swipe at the government over rushing with bills in Parliment.

Naqvi, who is also Deputy Leader of the Rajya Sabha, said that the TMC MP "can have fish curry, if he's allergic to papri chaat". He also accused Derek O'Brien of conspiring to "malign Parliament's dignity".

On Monday, Derek O'Brien slammed the government for rushing bills through Parliament "at an average time of under seven minutes per bill", sarcastically asking if it was "making papri chaat".

The Monsoon Session of Parliament has till now seen little work due to Opposition's protests over Pegasus snooping row.
