In a big bet towards a green future Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance New Energy Solar Ltd will invest $50 million in Ambri Inc, a renewable energy storage company in the United States.

Reliance New Energy Solar will also form an exclusive collaboration with Ambri to set up a largescale battery manufacturing facility in India, which could add scale and further bring down costs for Reliance's green energy initiative.

Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani in June had announced plans to build a Giga Factory in Jamnagar for the storage of intermittent energy, as part of the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex project.
