Protesters were seen outside the centre agitating against the shortage. Rajesh Dere, the Dean at the centre said they did not receive vaccine doses for Friday the night before, like they usually do, leading to the centre shutting down.

The Maharashtra government has been flagging the shortage of vaccines for few day days now. However, the Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has said Maharashtra is hiding its own failures beneath claims of vaccine shortage.
