The Mumbai Police and Food and Drugs Administration raided two locations in the city on Monday and recovered 2,200 vials of Remdesivir, officials said on Tuesday. The anti-viral drug is in high demand to treat the coronavirus patients. 2,000 vials of Remdesivir were recovered from an exporter in Marol in Andheri East, and 200 vials of the drug were found with another exporter in New Marine Lines. The development comes at a time when several states have reported a shortage of the drug as they are struggling to tackle the rising number of cases in the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
