Maharashtra CM uddhav Thackeray has been keeping a close eye on power outage situation in Mumbai and has instructed the administration to make sure that hospitals run smoothly during this period.
Thackeray also spoke to the BMC commissioner and asked all helplines ro be on high alert. He directs officials to coordinate with railway authorities to help stranded passengers.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Energy Minister Nitin Raut tweeted that after restoration of electricity, reasons behind the outage will be probed.
The BMC is closely monitoring the status at all private and government hospitals, to ensure that their services continue unhindered, even in the dearth of power supply. No untoward incident has been reported so far.
