Amid a stalemate in the talks, Naga insurgent group NSCN(IM) has said that it had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February and had offered to hold talks in a "third country" if its stay in India is no more welcome", NDTV has reported. The group claimed that the PM didn't respond to its letter and hence it has released it in public after seven months. In the 8-page letter, NSCN(IM) had criticised the interlocutor and Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi, and the Ministry of Home Affairs. The group had also pressed for its contentious demands of having separate Naga flag and constitution.
