For those who are in the habit of applying nail paint regularly, putting in a little extra effort to pamper your nails should be a part of your routine. With just a handful of ingredients, you can keep your nails in the best of health. To get you started, here are a few home remedies for beautiful nails.

1. Olive Oil

Using nourishing oils, such as olive oil can help keep your nails shine intact by treating the cuticles from deep within. First, clean your nails thoroughly, then warm a small bowl of olive oil and dip your fingers for 15 minutes. Wipe clean with a towel and repeat the process daily for best results.

2. Rosewater

Daily application of rose water to your nails can seal the natural pink tint on your nails. And if there are spots on your nails, then wash them with a mix of lemon juice and rose water. Follow this remedy thrice a week and see the difference.

3. Petroleum Jelly

Another natural way to make your nails look glossy is to apply petroleum jelly consistently to your nails, especially after a shower, as it helps prevent your nails from losing their natural moisture.

4. Milk

Milk is loaded with calcium and Vitamin D, both of which are crucial for building strong nails. Pour some warm milk into a bowl and dip your nails into it. Wait for a few minutes, let your nails absorb all the nourishment from the milk. Wash it off and moisturise with a nail cream or even a cold cream.

Most importantly, give your nails a break from nail polish whenever you can and avoid back-to-back manicures.
