Nathan Lyon etched his name in the history books on the fourth Day of the first Ashes test that Australia emphatically won by 9 wickets against England.
Ending his long wait, Lyon finally joined the elite list of 400 Test wicket-takers on Saturday after he uprooted Dawid Malan in the 2nd innings at the Gabba. Malan's wicket came as a jolt to the English team who then fell like a pack of cards. The 34-year-old collected a 4 wicket haul as he got, Malan, Ollie Pope, Robinson, and Mark Wood's wicket. He now has a total of 403 wickets in 101 Test matches.
The ace spinner who is the 17th cricketer overall, is the only third Australian bowler after Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath to achieve the historic feat.
