The American Academy of Pediatrics recently published new advice on what works it comes to the prevention of food allergies. There is strong evidence that purposeful, early introduction of peanuts as early as 4 months and other allergic foods like fish and milk may prevent the development of a food allergy in infants at high risk, the report says. The authors also shared that exclusive breastfeeding for the first three to four months of life was found to be protective against eczema.
