The famous New Year's eve ball at the Times Square is almost ready to welcome 2020 with a bang. The ball, with 192 new crystal triangles, features a pineapple design in tandem with the theme of 'gift of goodwill'. According to the Master artisan and ambassador for Waterford Crystals, pineapple is the symbol of generosity and goodwill. The ball weighs almost 12000 pounds and measures 12 feet in diameter. The ball is rolled out annually to ring in the new year.
