A northeastern Chinese city is battling a fresh coronavirus outbreak with stringent lockdown and quarantine measures.
Dalian, a port city with more than 7.4 million residents, became the latest hotspot in the country.
The city has seen 235 locally transmitted cases and 54 asymptomatic carriers in the newest round of virus flare-up, state broadcaster CCTV said.
Most cases in the city were reported in Zhuanghe, where an infection cluster broke out in a university town. The Zhuanghe University Town has reported 72 cases so far, including its students, staff members and restaurant workers.
In its west campus, more than 10,000 students are asked to stay in dormitories and asked to take online courses. Daily testing and disinfection are carried out to cut transmission, according to CCTV.
Dalian will roll out its third round of citywide mass testing on Sunday.
China reported 70 locally transmitted cases Sunday, 60 of which were reported in Dalian, CCTV said.
