As the number of women joining the farmers protests at Singhu border see a rise, an NGO is installing bio-toilets to ensure they have access to basic sanitation facilities. The toilet is being made with recycled material and is being used by around 100 women and specially abled persons a day. Each toilet will have a 10-foot deep pit and will make use of charcoal and sawdust to get rid of the odour. More such toilets are in the pipeline at the protest site and the NGO has even started a crowdfunding initiative to build more.
