Nifty ends at record-high; PSU banks biggest gainers

Domestic equity markets continue to move higher with Nifty's May series ending at a record-high closing on Thursday. Here are the highlights:

- Nifty gained 0.24% to end at 15,337. Sensex moved a 100 points up to close at 51,115.

- Banks and IT stocks led to the gains in benchmark indices

- Shree Cements, SBI, Bajaj Auto, Kotak Bank and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers.

- Nifty PSU Bank index was up 3% as SBI, Bank of Baroda and PNB surged up to 7%.

- 34 out of 50 stocks in the Nifty index closed in the green
