Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday dialled Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to express concern over recent killings of three people from Bihar in terrorist strikes.

Kumar spoke to Sinha upon learning about the death of Raja Rishidev and Yogendra Rishidev in Kulgam, which came a day after Arvind Kumar Sah was gunned down in Srinagar.

Nitish has announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakhs to the next of kin of all the three deceased. The BJP requested a hike in the quantum of compensation and stated that the amount was far lower than even what is being given to victims of accidents and natural disasters in the state.

Meanwhile, Sinha said that we will hunt down the terrorists after the recent killings.

Jammu and Kashmir has recently witnessed an increase in the attacks on non-locals by the terrorists amid a crackdown by security forces.
