U.K.'s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency on Wednesday said that no corners were cut to give an approval of Pfizer-BioNTech's Covid-19 vaccine. Dr June Raine, the chief of MHRA said that UK had given the vaccine an emergency use authorisation because strict tests were done and all guidelines were complied with. Immunisations are set to begin in the UK as early as next week, according to Health Secretary Matt Hancock. Residents in care homes for older adults and care home workers will be the highest priority.
