From wise to alarming, there are countless nuggets of health advice floating around the Internet.
One such hack claiming that drinking tea could prevent and cure Covid-19 has been busted by the government through its @MyGov Twitter page.
The authority clarified that there is 'no scientific evidence' to support this claim and warned people to not be misled by rumours and be responsible while forwarding such news.
Before this, the government handle has also fact-checked several other Covid-19 related health or medical tips.
The page busted the myth that drinking hot water or a hot water bath could prevent coronavirus. It was explained that drinking hot water cannot kill or cure the virus as a temperature of 60-75 degrees is required to kill the novel coronavirus in a lab setting.
Another claim quashed in the Myth Buster series was that you can stop taking precautions after vaccinations. As the pandemic is still spreading fast in India, one must follow all Covid precautions like mask-wearing and physical distancing even after getting the jab.
