'No one removed from Aryan Khan probe': NCB after media reports of Wankhede's ouster

Amid media reports that NCB's zonal director Sameer Wankhede has been removed as the lead officer in Aryan Khan drugs bust case, the central drug issued a denial. 

The NCB statement said that while a special investigation team from Operations Branch of its headquarters in Delhi will take over 6 cases from NCB Mumbai, no officer or officers have been removed from their present roles and they will continue to assist the Operations Branch investigation as required until any specific orders are issued to the contrary.

The NCB stated that the cases have national and international ramifications, and they have been transferred to conduct a deeper investigation. 

Sameer Wankhede too issued a statement saying he has not been removed from any probe.
