New Zealand gave a boost to their T20 World Cup 2021 semi-finals qualification bid with a 52-run victory over Namibia in Sharjah on Friday.
Put into bat, New Zealand found themselves 4 down for 87 in 14 overs. But an unbeaten 76-run stand off just 36 balls between Glenn Phillips and James Neesham powered The Kiwis to 163/4. Chasing which Namibia were 47/0, and also ended up with its best powerplay score in this tournament. But it was all downhill from there on as Namibia eventually ended up with just 111/7 in 20 overs.
New Zealand's 3rd win of the tournament meant that Kane Williamson went past Daniel Vittori as Blackcaps' most successful captain at the World T20.
