Indian athletes need to submit their negative RTPCR test reports taken 96 hours and 72 hours prior to departure for participating in the upcoming Summer Games, an Indian Olympic delegation official told Times of India on Thursday.

The tests need to be done by the Games Organising Committee's accredited labs in India which are connected directly to the Japan Embassy in India and will then have to be uploaded on the Committee's health monitoring app.

Earlier the Olympic-bound athletes were required to upload their daily health records on the mobile app for 14 days straight, however, TOI reported that it has now been reduced to 7 days.
