India's ace shuttler PV Sindhu began her Tokyo Olympics campaign with a bang as she thrashed Israel's Ksenia Polikarpova in straight games 21-7, 21-10 on Sunday.
Sindhu was a bit shaky to start with but took 13 consecutive points in the first game to set the tone in her favour. There was no stopping the Rio Olympics silver medallist then as she finished the match in just 28 minutes.
Sindhu will next take on Hongkong’s Cheung Ngan Yi in her 2nd and final group stage match.
