As India reels under a deadly Covid-19 wave, data shows a dramatic rise in infections in poll-bound states where mass rallies are being held with little regard to guidelines.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has already urged the Election commission to complete the remaining phases of polling in one go, but the poll panel has clearly stated that it won't be possible.

Speaking to Vikram Chandra on News Guru, TMC's parliamentary party leader in the Rajya Sabha, Derek O'Brien says, the TMC wants the Bengal elections to be curtailed and held in single phase but the EC is controlled by 'someone else'. He is confident that Mamata Banerjee will win Bengal.
