The opposition has launched a sharp attack on the Centre after Health Ministry informed the Parliament that the states have not reported any deaths specifically due to lack of oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that along with a lack of oxygen there was also a lack of empathy and truth and it still continues.

Congress' Priyanka Gandhi tweeted that the deaths occurred because the Centre increased oxygen exports by 700% during a pandemic. She said that Centre failed to install oxygen plants at hospitals and it also failed to make arrangements for tankers to transport oxygen.

The Aam Aadmi Party too cornered the govt and said that the Centre disbanded the committee formed by Delhi govt to investigate the lack of oxygen-related deaths because it was scared that the truth about it's mismanagement would come out.

BJP spokesperson slammed the opposition leaders and accused them to doing politics over Covid related deaths. He also added that the data related of Covid cases and fatalities is given to the Centre by the states.
