A Delhi government panel has recommended that parents of Covid-19 positive children, undergoing treatment in hospitals, could be allowed to enter the coronavirus ward, Live Hindustan has reported.

The committee has, however, said that parents would be allowed to enter the ward only in full PPE kits.

The recommendation has come in the wake of fears over a likely third wave of Covid-19 that may impact children.

The panel has said that parents may be allowed to meet kids if it becomes difficult to handle them in the hospitals, the report said.

The panel has also suggested that health workers need to be trained to look after children admitted to intensive care units.
