Popular Front of India banned for five years

The Popular Front of India (PFI) was declared as an unlawful organisation and banned with immediate effect by the Union government. Eight other front organisations of the PFI have also been banned. The five year ban comes after massive raids carried out by National Investigation Agency (NIA) on PFI and related organisations across the country.
