Pashupatinath temple owns 276kg of gold

The Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu owns 276 kg of gold and 1.3 billion rupees in cash, according to official reports. This is the first time in history that a committee formed by the Nepal government has made the temple's assets public. Pashupatinath is one of the four most important sites for devotees of Lord Shiva in Asia.
