In a jolt to the central govt that has been facing opposition fire over the Pegasus snooping controversy, BJP ally Nitish Kumar on Monday demanded a probe into the allegations.
The Bihar CM is the first BJP ally to echo opposition's demand for a probe and a discussion in Parliament.
Speaking to mediapersons, Kumar said that the talk of snooping and phone-tapping has been going on for long and there should be a probe into the allegations that Israeli spyware was used to hack into the phones of politicians, journalists, judges and govt officials.
Opposition has been stalling Parliament daily through the ongoing Monsoon Session over the Pegasus issue. The government has denied all the allegations of snooping.
