Google and Qualcomm have partnered up to help get smartphones running on Snapdragon chips support for up to 4 Android OS versions. The first chipset to get this ability will be the latest Snapdragon 888 platform. While Google has said all Qualcomm chips that launch with Android 11 will get the extended OS support, there's no word yet on whether this feature will be made available to other chipset manufacturers as well.
