Google has confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones will not launch in India.
“Due to a variety of factors including global demand supply issues, we are not able to make our products available in all markets,” Google said.
The report also quotes an executive from Counterpoint as saying that Google’s lack of local manufacturing makes it difficult for Google to compete in the premium space in India.
The Pixel 6 series smartphones are powered by Google’s custom Tensor chipset, and are priced starting $599 in the US.
