PM Modi condoles death of former HP CM Virbhadra Singh, Rahul Gandhi remembers the 'stalwart'

PM Modi condoled the death of 87-year-old Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Virbhadra Singh died in the wee hours of Thursday after a prolonged illness in Shimla.

PM Modi praised Virbhadra Singh’s ‘rich administrative and legislative experience’ and said he played a pivotal role in Himachal Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi also expressed his condolence as he hailed the ‘stalwart’s’ commitment to serving the people and to the Congress party. Congress National Spokesperson Pawan Khera also offered his condolences to Singh’s family.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda have expressed their condolences on the demise of Virbhadra Singh.  Jairam Thakur wrote it “is an irreparable loss for Himachal, which will never be compensated’.
