Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said data and demographic dividends along with tech capabilities present a massive opportunity for India. Speaking at a virtual event to mark the completion of 6 years of Digital India, PM Modi also said this decade will be ‘India’s techade’.

The PM said, the govt's top priority is innovation, the vision of minimum government and maximum governance will be fulfilled with one and only Digital India.

The Prime Minister spoke of the critical role that technology had played during the pandemic to ensure continuity of education, access to healthcare, and other citizen services.

“Digital solutions created by India during Covid-19 pandemic are being acknowledged globally. Contact tracing app, Aarogya Setu, played a key role in containing the spread of Covid-19 in the country,” the PM said.
