PM Narendra Modi will meet Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal and other top officials on Wednesday to discuss the demands to cancel CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams amid an alarming spike in daily Covid cases.

Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leaders including brother-sister duo Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi have asked the Centre to cancel the exams, saying students’ lives would be risked in the process.

Kejriwal warned that the exam centres would turn into Covid hot spots. India recorded 1,84,372 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours in the highest-ever single-day spike.
