PM Modi to visit Odisha, Bengal on Friday to review damage caused Cyclone Yaas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha and West Bengal on Friday to review the impact of Cyclone Yaas, news agency ANI reported.

The eastern states saw large scale flooding due to the cyclone that caused great damage. 

PM Modi will first land in Bhubaneshwar where he will hold a review meeting and will then proceed for an aerial survey in the affected areas of Balasore, Bhadrak and Purba Medinipur.

Prime Minister will also meet Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Friday to discuss the extent of damage caused to the state due to cyclone Yaas.

Mamata has meanwhile launched ₹1000 crore relief package for the people affected, while Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced a seven-day relief for 128 villages.
