PM Narendra Modi says he won't hold Bengal rally, will chair Covid-19 meetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said he won't visit West Bengal on Friday as he will chair high-level meetings on Covid-19 situation in Delhi.

The Prime Minister was scheduled to attend a rally in Kolkata's Shaheed Minar on Friday.

This is the first time the Prime Minister has cancelled a campaign visit to Bengal, where rallies by him, other BJP leaders and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have been drawing huge crowds amid second wave of Covid-19.
