PM Modi to hold review meeting on districts with low vaccine coverage

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a virtual meeting with District Magistrates of over 40 districts where Covid-19 vaccination coverage is not up to the mark yet.

As per a report by The Hindu, the meeting which is scheduled on November 3, will cover districts with less than 50 percent coverage of the first dose and low coverage of the second dose of the vaccine.

The chief ministers of states such as Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and Meghalaya will also attend the meeting.

Notably, PM Modi also advocated for WHO approval of Indian vaccines at the G20 summit which he is currently attending in Italy's capital city Rome.
