Priyanka Chopra Jonas has apologised to fans, for her participation in the CBS show 'The Activist', amid massive social media backlash.
Priyanka said she has been 'moved' by the criticism. She acknowledged that the show 'got it wrong' and is 'sorry that her participation in it disappointed many of her fans'.
Priyanka who was supposed to be one of the judges on the reality show, along with American singer-songwriter Usher and dancer Julianne Hough, further praised the global community of activists who fight every single day and put their blood, sweat and tears into creating change.

Priyanka's statement comes after CBS and producing partners Global Citizen and Live Nation, changed the format of the show from a five-episode contest series to a one-time documentary special.
The organisation had earlier apologised to the activists who were participating, along with the hosts, who had been massively trolled for associating themselves with the show.
