The Centre of Wednesday announced an excise cut of Rs 5 on petrol and Rs 10 on diesel, providing major relief to consumers amid spiralling fuel prices.
Several other opposition leaders too dubbed the Centre's move as too little too late.
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav called the Centre's move a "drama" and said that the prices will again be increased after the UP elections.
RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav said that the price of petrol should be brought down below ₹ 70 per litre.
"Earlier, BJP felt that ₹ 70 per litre petrol was costly and now they have raised the prices above ₹ 100 per litre. They should bring the price of petrol under ₹ 70 per litre at least," he said.
