After courting arrest in Uttar Pradesh along with her brother Rahul Gandhi on her way to the home of the Hathras gangrape victim, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is set to hold a dharna and prayer meet at the Valmiki Mandir in Delhi for the 20-year-old girl.

Protests have also been planned at India Gate to coincide with Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, as per reports.

But the Delhi Police says permission has not been given for either gatherings or protests in view of Section 144 imposed last month.

Police said protests are permitted only at Jantar Mantar with prior permission and the attendance of only 100 people.
