Priyanka Gandhi has hit out that the BJP govt at the Centre accusing it of being misogynistic.
The Congress leader in a tweet wrote that the BJP was leaving out India's first and only woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi from the Vijay Diwas celebrations.
'Our first and only woman Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi is being left out of the misogynist BJP government’s Vijay Diwas celebrations. This, on the 50th anniversary of the day that she led India to victory and liberated Bangladesh,' she wrote.

She also addressed Prime Minister Modi and said 'women don’t believe your platitudes. Your patronising attitude is unacceptable. It’s about time you started giving women their due.'
Along with the tweet, Priyanka posted pictures of Indira Gandhi meeting injured soldiers, the three service chiefs and Bangladeshi leader Sheikh Mujibur Rehman.
