Priyanka starts Assam campaign with Kamakhya Temple visit

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reached Assam on Monday morning on a two-day visit to the poll-bound state. She started her tour with a visit to the Kamakhya Temple located on Nilachal Hill in Guwahati. Accompanied by senior Congress leaders, Gandhi spent some time in the temple and sought blessings from the goddess before proceeding to Lakhimpur in upper Assam. Priyanka Gandhi will also interact with tea garden workers in Biswanath district.
Assam will witness a three-phased election with start of voting on March 27, followed by April 1 and April 6. Results will be out on May 2.
