'Proud to be Indian Muslim’: Ghulam Nabi Azad said on his last day in Rajya Sabha

Ghulam Nabi Azad in an emotional farewell speech at the Rajya Sabha recalled his political career and said that he was a proud Indian Muslim. He thanked Indira Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi and recollected his bond with Vajpayee.

Addressing the Prime Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "You never used to take my words personally. You separated the personal context with the politics.’

Earlier in the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi became emotional in Parliament during  farewell to the Congress veteran.
